Retail Shop Assistant

We are looking for a person to join our owner operated business here in Broome. This person must have a good work ethic, is punctual, a team player and have a smile that makes everyone smile. We ask that you are flexible and have a “can do” attitude towards work, you must be fit to meet the demands of handling incoming stock.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Using your stunning smile and winning personality to provide an outstanding customer experience
• Promptly and accurately completing customer purchases
• Computer savvy and able to use a Point Of Sale System (training is provided for POS)
• Assisting with visual merchandising
• Maintain & keep stock and fixtures clean daily
• Performing inventory control including, but not limited to, receiving, price labelling, stock adjustments plus stock take.

Projected hours of this role are:
Hours will vary depending on seasonal trading and business needs with a min of 3 hours per day or up to 30 hours per week in between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday with some Saturdays with the odd Sunday. This position may become Part-time but not guaranteed.

Expected Start Date: January 2017
You will have:
• retail experience with understanding of EFTPOS processing and cash handling procedures
(but not essential)
• Exceptional customer service skills and a flexible, "can do" attitude towards work
• Experience opening and closing
• good personal presentation
• good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 15 kg

The Pay: $24.30 p/h M-F + Superannuation + district Allowance, additional pay for weekends.
